Starting your day with this Thermomix Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie is so energising and requires very little effort to make.  It can be thrown together in less than 5 minutes and is great for the morning madness when you have no time to sit down and eat breakfast.

Blueberries are often labelled as a ‘superfood’ due to their high nutritional benefits. The Medjool dates and maple syrup add sweetness while the oats and banana give you sustained energy levels which will keep you fuller for longer.

Fresh blueberries and other berries (except strawberries) are often so expensive here in Melbourne even when they’re in season.  For this reason I always buy big bags of frozen berries from Costco, or you can get smaller ones from Woolies or Coles.  And of course they are great to have on hand for sorbets and other delights.
